Elf ideas for tonight, from what you already have
The nightly problem is not filming. It is deciding where the doll sits before breakfast. This ideas generator filters a written list by the supplies you tick and the kind of morning you want. It runs in your browser. It does not call a model, and it does not invent a story about how many families use it. It works with your Elf on the Shelf® or any toy elf.
How the filter works
Each idea names the supplies it needs. If you tick paper and tape, you will not be handed a plan that requires marshmallows. If you tick a five-minute setup, you will not be handed a plan that needs sewing. The three ideas on screen are the first matches after a shuffle seeded by your choices, so the same boxes give the same three ideas and a different set of boxes moves the list. Refreshing does not burn a credit because there is nothing to burn.
Use the idea, pose the doll, clear the room of people, and take the photo the video flow expects. Then return to the caught-on-camera page if you want to join the list for a clip of that pose. The idea and the photo are the part you can finish tonight.
Ideas stay indoors or on a porch you control. They do not ask you to put the doll somewhere unsafe, on a stove, or in a child's bed. Nursery ideas stay on a shelf or a dresser.
A month of mornings without a new craft store bag
December 1 through December 24 is twenty-four mornings. You do not need twenty-four purchases. Paper, a kitchen towel, cereal, a houseplant, a flashlight, and tape cover more days than most people expect. The arrival page and the goodbye page call out the two mornings that deserve a little more intention. The nights in between can be small.
If an idea mentions a note, write it with the letter tool or by hand. If it mentions a name, use the one your house already uses or pick one from the name tool. Do not print a trademark logo you do not own onto the note.
The list is static on purpose. A language model would make fresher sentences and also make occasional suggestions you should not do. A fixed list can be read before the season and thrown out if a line is wrong. That is the right trade for a children's tradition.
After the pose
Upload one photo of the doll and the room only. The doll can be on a shelf, a counter, the porch, or a dresser. Leave people out of the frame, including children, faces in the background, and reflections in a mirror or a TV. A general face detector also fires on a doll's painted face, so instead of guessing, the upload form asks you to confirm the photo shows only the doll and the room, and a video request without that confirmation is refused. Photos with people in them are not accepted.
Keep the doll fully in frame, with a little floor or shelf around it so it has somewhere to step. A lamp or tree lights that are already on are enough. You do not need a dark room, a tripod, or a special camera. Phone photos are fine. JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 5 MB work. Crop out doorbell-app buttons before you upload a porch screenshot.
The clip is meant to end with the doll back in that same pose, so the next morning the real doll and the video still match. The scene prompts ask the model to finish in the opening pose. Using your photo as the closing frame as well is the stronger fix, and we will only promise it once real test clips show it works.
When you are done, the coloring sheets are the piece that does not require the doll at all. A younger child can color while an older child looks for the doll. Keep those activities separate from the photograph.
