Elf name generator for your doll

Some houses name the doll once and keep it. Others want a silly option on a rainy afternoon. This name generator draws from a fixed list of invented names. It avoids branded character names. It runs locally in the page. It works with your Elf on the Shelf® or any toy elf, and it does not claim those names are official.

Why a fixed list

A random model will eventually suggest a name that belongs to a book, a film, or a trademark. A list we can read in full will not, because we did not put those names in it. If you want the doll to use a name you already chose years ago, ignore the list. The tool is for the households that never picked one.

Styles are short, cozy, and silly. Short names fit a small note. Cozy names sound calm in a goodbye letter. Silly names fit a towel-cape morning. You can lock the first letter if you want the name to match a child's initial, without typing the child's name. The initial is a letter, not a person.

Using the name in a letter or a clip

Copy the name into the letter tool if you want it printed. Do not expect the video model to say it. Speech and on-screen text are forbidden in the scene prompts because the model misspells words and because a talking doll is a later project. The name lives on paper.

Do not put the name on a product you sell. The terms are for personal family use. Do not register a domain that combines the name with someone else's trademark.

If the list feels too gentle, that is a choice. Public comments on other apps show that scary outputs travel farther than kind ones and are the wrong default for this season.

What this page is not

It is not a database of popular official names, and it is not a poll. We do not show a count of clicks as if it were a crowd. Pick a name, write it down, and use it.

Upload one photo of the doll and the room only. The doll can be on a shelf, a counter, the porch, or a dresser. Leave people out of the frame, including children, faces in the background, and reflections in a mirror or a TV. A general face detector also fires on a doll's painted face, so instead of guessing, the upload form asks you to confirm the photo shows only the doll and the room, and a video request without that confirmation is refused. Photos with people in them are not accepted.

Keep the doll fully in frame, with a little floor or shelf around it so it has somewhere to step. A lamp or tree lights that are already on are enough. You do not need a dark room, a tripod, or a special camera. Phone photos are fine. JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 5 MB work. Crop out doorbell-app buttons before you upload a porch screenshot.

The clip is meant to end with the doll back in that same pose, so the next morning the real doll and the video still match. The scene prompts ask the model to finish in the opening pose. Using your photo as the closing frame as well is the stronger fix, and we will only promise it once real test clips show it works.
